Wednesday; food, glorious food;

Filet steak and Potatoes, always a favourite;

In earlier times it was not usual, quite rare to have menu cards for the guests on the table. 
A historian from the 15th century told, that in 1489 the Duke Heinrich von Braunschweig-WolfenbĂĽttel heading the Reichstag in Regensburg, attracted a lot of interest, because at the meal he consulted often a note while he was eating. 
The head cook had written down all the dishes in order to be served. The duke could choose which dishes he liked  and  spare his appetite accordingly for the best ones.
