  1. I am not sure which one is you in this photo but both ladies are lovely - I love the dresses you are both wearing. How wonderful to study Italian in Florence!

  4. Marilyn's right, you are both lovely in this photo. If David weren't so large, you would have upstaged him.

  5. Was this photo taken in the late 1950s or early 1960s? Unlike the time when this photo was taken, people have become so casual these days - they wear jeans and t-shirts nearly everywhere. It's fun to remember that there was a time when people dressed up for occasions, like viewing David. You and your friend both look so lovely.

  6. Toni, yes go when it is not so crowded. Florence has everything!
Christine, thank you, yes he looks very imposing and quite sure of himself!

Nancy, it was in 1958. Dresses were still very much en vogue. Last time in 2007 when I was visiting Italy I was wearing mainly "Jeans and shirts"!

  7. Another sculpture of David. I knew they had a few copies and I am assuming this is another. You looked great all dressed up for your visit.

  8. I know we're talking Florence here, but when I first saw this photograph, I was immediately reminded of Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday.
