"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded."
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

This is such a beautiful quote. I think synchronicity is at play here as I came across another quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson today that I really liked.
ReplyDeleteThe art work is gorgeous - is it your's? the pink flowers are so very dainty.
Marilyn, thank you, love to hear from you. I like RW Emerson, his quotes. He was a great thinker and also kind. Yes, I dabble a little in water colours. Have a lovely day! T.
ReplyDeleteI am a wannabe watercolourist, well I am really a wannabe artist ...but fear holds me back. You make me feel like trying. I love your work.
ReplyDeleteMarilyn, just try, we all have our own style. I have tried to copy but it does not work for me.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your encouragement.
